Company
AuraSpark Drone Works is the unmanned aircraft program within AuraSpark Technologies LLC. We develop autonomy-ready UAV platforms and audit-first autonomy patterns intended for environments where safety, oversight, and defensibility matter.
Who we are
AuraSpark was founded by Richard J. Mitchell (EE, MBA, ESEP), a former Senior Architect at CAE with more than 30 years of experience in complex systems, platform modeling, and safety‑critical engineering.
We share only high-level, non-enabling information publicly. Detailed technical materials are available under NDA.
Why Drone Works exists
- BVLOS operations require predictable behavior, not black-box surprises.
- Regulatory and enterprise deployments require evidence, not “trust us.”
- Autonomy needs platforms designed for sensor quality and operational stability.
The problems we’re solving
Safety under uncertainty
Detect-and-avoid, deconfliction, and fail-safe behaviors built for real conditions and degraded inputs.
Compliance-ready evidence
Operational artifacts—telemetry, health monitoring, and decision traces—designed for review and reconstruction.
Field-reliable sensing
Stable platforms and integration patterns that protect the fidelity of sensing payloads and autonomy inputs.
Work with us
Operator partners
Early partners who want to shape CONOPS, safety objectives, and measurable BVLOS readiness criteria.
Test ranges
Range collaboration and scenario-based evaluation—especially around edge cases and degraded conditions.
Integrators & OEMs
Payload integration, platform collaboration, and licensing discussions under NDA.
